\n\nOn very rare occasions, services can be subject to the effect of weather or unforeseen circumstances. Should a cruise not operate for any reason passengers will be offered an alternative day or a refund authorised.
\n\nDiving & Snorkelling
\n\nCertain medical conditions and medications may preclude some people from diving. For advice contact our Quicksliver office. Minimum age for diving is 12 years. Quicksilver recommend a wait of 12 hours but preferably 24 hours, if doing multiple dives, before ascending to an altitude of 300 metres or greater. Snorkelling can be a strenuous activity. Please use caution and inform our crew of any medical conditions.

Bookings & Payment
\n\nOnline — Upon receipt of your reservation request, we will contact you to confirm availability and arrange payment details, if you chose the option to pay on your day of travel. We will provide you with a printable confirmation voucher via email, detailing your date of travel, pick up points, costs and any other relevant information.
\n\nFields marked with * on the Reservation form must be completed before choosing “Make a Booking”. We will advise you of specific reservation Terms and Conditions at the time of requesting a reservation. All costs shown are in Australian Dollars, or as otherwise indicated, and include GST (Goods and Services Tax).
\n\nWhen do I make payment?
\n\nWhen booking online with Quicksilver Cruises, you have the option to pay by credit card to secure your booking immediately, or you can also choose to pay on your day of travel. In this case, payment is made directly at the Quicksilver check-in counters before boarding your cruise. You may pay by cash or accepted credit card.
\n\nWhat if the weather is really bad?
\n\nProviding we have availability you are welcome to change dates, or in the worst case scenario, cancel.
\n\nCan I change dates?
\n\nYes providing we have availability. There are no fees to change dates, however you must notify us a minimum of 24 hours prior to travel.

If you are older age, or suffer from heart disease, asthma, lung complaints, epilepsy, diabetes, any allergies or any other medical condition which can be made worse by physical exertion, you should take special caution and inform our lifeguards of your situation and snorkel in an area that allows closer supervision. Flotation devices are recommended and should be worn by older age persons and those with medical conditions or poor swimming ability. Your crew will do their utmost to ensure your safety during all of the day’s activities; however, all swimming and snorkelling is undertaken at your own risk. If you have a medical condition, please advise the crew or lifeguard. Do not consume alcohol and eat only in moderation before snorkelling or diving. Always snorkel with a partner. Ask a travel companion to be your “snorkelling buddy”. Children should always be accompanied by an adult. If you experience difficulty, signal the lifeguard by waving one or both arms above your head and calling out for help. Please always listen carefully to instructions and follow the advice from the lifeguard. If diving below the surface, look up when ascending and place your hands above your head to protect against collisions. One long blast on the ship’s horn is a signal to recall all snorkellers from the water.\n\nScuba Diving Conditions:\nCertain medical conditions (diabetes, asthma, etc) and medications may preclude some people from scuba diving. Professional photographer service on board.\n\nLevies:\nA Government Environmental Management Charge is payable by all adults and children 4 years and over entering the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage area.
