Additionally, due to the nature of the hike clients over 150kg’s and/or heavily pregnant may not be able to participate.\r\n- Being under the influence of alcohol or any illegal substances is a safety hazard as are any prescribed medicines which may affect balance.\r\n- At their discretion, guides can curtail trips for individuals or groups at any time if they consider safety is compromised or where individuals are unable to keep up with the group’s pace.\r\n- If you are unable to complete trips due to pre-existing medical conditions or some other personal characteristic, you will be evacuated at your own expense.\r\n- You are required to listen to your guides and always follow their instructions.\r\n- You must ensure you have adequate and appropriate clothing before proceeding on a trip; please ask us if you are unsure.\r\n- Children wishing to join our Heli Hikes need to be at least 10 years old, weigh at least 35kg and be at least 137cm tall. This is due to safety ratings with our harnesses.\r\n- Any minor (10 – 17 years) participating in the Glacier Heli Hike must have an accompanying adult (over 18) sign for them to give assurance they will take responsibility for the minor.\r\n- This tour is classed as an adventure activity and carries a degree of risk; as such you need to be aware that we cannot absolutely guarantee your safety.\r\n- Glaciers are an unstable geological feature that presents certain hazards, including, but not limited to: avalanche, rock fall, ice fall, heavy rainfall, cold exposure, height, flooding, uneven terrain, slips trips and falls, sun exposure.
