From here, we welcome you to the Fiordland National Park and the renowned Milford Road. This corridor to the fiord unveils a different side of New Zealand, with its majestic mountains, winding rivers, and the cheeky Kea bird. Throughout the journey, your guide will make multiple stops for photo opportunities, and short walks, and will entertain you with fascinating local facts and stories.
Milford Sound Adventure
Upon reaching Milford Sound, embark on a 1 hour 45 min nature cruise with Cruise Milford that takes you beneath the towering peaks of the fiord. This small boat cruise, accompanied by a knowledgeable onboard nature guide, allows you to explore the edges of the fiord, revealing its impressive waterfalls and unique wildlife, which may include dolphins, penguins, fur seals, and native birdlife.
The Journey Back

Pick Up Location:
Take note of your pick up location and time on this confirmation, and make sure you are aware of where you need to be on the day. There is a handy Google Maps link to help direct you to the right place. Aim to get there 10 minutes before the departure time, and that way we can head off on tour without any delay, and enjoy that extra time on the Milford Road. Tip - look out for a Mercedes van!
Lunch:
Lunch is included today!
You will receive this when we arrive in Milford Sound, before your cruise (around 2:30pm). This picnic lunch comes with a gourmet chicken sandwich, but if you’d prefer the meat-less option, then you can request to change this to a vegetarian sandwich up until 5pm the day prior. If you have any other dietary preference, let us know, and we'll do our best to whip up some fantastic alternatives for you.
Please Note: Dinner is not included on this tour, however on the way back to Queenstown we will stop at a cafe where you will be able to grab something for the journey home. (we can not guarantee the selection that they will have so please keep this in mind when planning your day)
Dress for the occasion:
We recommend wearing layers, comfortable shoes and if traveling in winter, gloves and a warm hat. Waterproof layers are highly recommended.
Stay Hydrated and Eco-Friendly:
We're all about keeping things green! Please bring a trusty water bottle with you, as we've taken the eco-conscious step of ditching single-use plastic.
