Kayak pick up is located at the Garden Island Boat Ramp and Reserve, Lot 204 Garden Island Road, Gillman (click to see location) in the Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary …the best location for paddling in Adelaide. You can explore the beautiful mangrove creeks and search for dolphins with your family or friends.
We have the craft ready for you at the launch site, help you set up and supply a map and advice on best spots and safe paddling. You create your own unique adventure!

If on the date of your booking it has been deemed unsafe to operate due to weather you will be contacted as soon as possible. Whilst we frequently check forecasts in the days leading up to your booking, there are some occasions where weather is worse than forecast resulting in last minute cancellations of sessions.
WAITING LIST
If the date you want is sold out you can go on the \"waiting\" list by completing all booking details. We will get in touch if we have a kayak become free. Your credit card won't be charged until you have accepted our offer for a hire.

GETTING TO GARDEN ISLAND
\r\n\r\nYou can drive your vehicle to our Garden Island location.\r\nPlease use the Google links in this confirmation to get the exact location and\r\ndirections. Note the road out to Garden Island goes through an industrial zone\r\nand is not very nice! It gets better, a lot better at the end of the road!
There is no public transport to Garden Island.
WEATHER
\r\nWe operate in most weather conditions, including rain. We have been doing this\r\na long time and understand safe operating conditions. If we are concerned, we\r\nwill stop, pause, delay or shorten the session for a break in weather.
If we assess the weather to be unsafe, Adventure Kayak SA\r\nmay have to cancel or postpone/delay the session. We will attempt to do this\r\nprior to the day. On the actual day of service, weather conditions may still\r\nrequire our immediate intervention.

\r\nEXTRA T&C'S
We hire our kayaks to people\r\nwho have adequate skills, knowledge and experience to safely complete\r\nthe activity. This does not necessarily mean that you have had a kayak lesson\r\nbut that you are aware of the challenges of physical activity and exploring a\r\nnatural area that is not supervised/managed.
\r\n\r\nWe limit where you can explore for your own safety and\r\nour management. If you do not follow our guidelines and experience difficulty\r\nwe may not be able to assist in your rescue and as such you are primarily\r\nresponsible for your own safety and welfare including self-rescue.
\r\n\r\nIn extreme cases we will contact Emergency Services\r\nand supply what information we have to aid in your rescue.
\r\n\r\nOur equipment is of highest quality and in great\r\ncondition and you need the knowledge to look after it and return it in the same\r\ncondition as supplied, common sense really. Any abnormal damage, or loss of\r\nequipment will be charged to the hirer at replacement value.
